It is my parents' 33rd anniversary today. Happy anniversary, Mom and Papa! Jake and I really look up to my parents; they truly are in love and have built such a happy life together. Five children, three dogs, a number of cats, a gazillion fish, and two homes later, they still look at one another with smiles and true love. They are an inspiration. Life has definitely been a rollercoaster for them with many thrilling highs and stomach-turning lows, but they have gone through everything together as a team. Through it all, they have never lost track of what brought them together-love. And even though 33 years may seem like a long time, I honestly believe that it has just been the beginning. They are going to be grandparents now, and life will have a whole different outlook.
They are on their way right now to come and visit for the weekend. We hope to take them to a restaurant on the river, a little home-town establishment that has much history to it (one could spend hours there-it is like a museum), a Bingo game or two, and some fireworks. It is going to be a beautiful weekend with many wonderful memories made.
