Cap and Gown

I donned a cap and gown yesterday for pseudo graduation. You see, I technically don't graduate until August; however, summer graduates walk in the May ceremony. It was quite fun, actually. I got to be the first graduate student to walk through; I even had to hand the announcer a card that stated the graduate students were now to be presented. Apparently the black gowns we wear (versus the maroon gowns the undergrads wear) wasn't tell-tale enough. Anyway, I was super excited to be the first person. When the undergrads sat down, I took a deep breath, stood up, and walked to the stage. However, the moment came to a stand still when they "hooded" me and knocked my cap off. It's all a blur from that moment on.
